Benchmarking CÉ LA VI Singapore for practical F&B strategy lessons.
Overview
This benchmarking study examines selected aspects of CÉ LA VI Singapore’s market positioning, guest experience and commercial approach to identify relevant strategic lessons for F&B operators. The objective is not to replicate the concept, but to understand observable practices and translate them into practical opportunities that can be adapted to different hospitality businesses.
The Objective
To identify observable practices from a leading Singapore hospitality concept and assess which principles could be translated into practical commercial, operational and guest experience improvements for other F&B businesses.
What We Examined
- Market positioning and brand experience
- Revenue and commercial opportunities
- Guest journey and experience design
- Beverage and F&B strategy
- Operational considerations
- Transferable strategic practices
Key Strategic Takeaways
1. Broaden demand without diluting the brand
CÉ LA VI expanded beyond its core nightlife and weekend audience by introducing daytime activations that attracted hotel guests, families and corporate groups, helping unlock underutilised trading periods while preserving its premium evening positioning.
2. Build loyalty through lifestyle alignment
Programming, music, entertainment and service flow were aligned with the preferences of the target audience, helping strengthen repeat visitation and making the venue feel like an extension of the guest’s lifestyle.
3. Treat brand evolution as an ongoing investment
CÉ LA VI continued reinvesting despite strong performance, including its planned S$11 million redesign and international expansion. The study highlights that location alone is not the advantage. The stronger lesson is how the venue combines positioning, segmentation and experiential layers around that location.
